AHC has been working diligently to provide residents with well-needed relief since the start of the pandemic. Working with its Resident Services team and property management arm, AHC Management, AHC has established 18 new food distribution sites, provided grocery gift cards for over 3,000 families, and secured over $2.3 million dollars in rental assistance for their residents.
With more than 1,600 affordable apartments in the Baltimore region, AHC Greater Baltimore continues to expand its portfolio. During 2020, the organization began renovation work on its first property, Greenspring Overlook, and moved forward on several new projects.
To help residents through the ongoing pandemic, AHC Inc. is extending our rental assistance efforts through March 31, 2021. This means we will continue to waive all late fees, freeze rent increases, and suspend all evictions for all residents experiencing economic hardships due to COVID-19.
AHC Inc., in partnership with Arlington County, “Flipped the Switch” on 342 solar panels at The Apex, a new 256-unit affordable apartment community on the banks of Four Mile Run in South Arlington, VA. The 130 KW installation is the largest solar panel array on a multifamily apartment building in Northern Virginia.
AHC’s Annual Meeting brought together supporters, partners, community leaders, and volunteers to focus on how we can work together to provide more housing and hope to needy families and individuals throughout our region.
