AHC Inc. is a private, nonprofit developer of quality affordable housing in the Washington-Baltimore region. For more than 30 years, AHC has been helping individuals:

• Find Affordable Rental Housing - AHC owns and operates 28 properties with 2,700 affordable units. We're adding 600 more affordable housing units in 2008-09.
• Purchase Affordable Homes - We offer affordable loan programs and help for first-time buyers.
• Renovate or Repair - AHC has programs to help low- and moderate-income homeowners renovate and repair their homes. 
• Support for Renters - Our Resident Services include after-school programs, tutoring, adult workshops, ESL classes and more.

Gates of Ballston wins Best Project Virginia:
The Gates of Ballston, a 464-unit, garden apartment complex built in the late 1930s, has won the 2008 "Best Project Virginia" award.  The award was presented by the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers (HAND).
