Cornerstone Society

A legacy gift is an impactful way for you to achieve your philanthropic goals while helping ensure our quality, affordable housing and life-changing resident programs continue into the future. By including AHC in your financial planning or estate plans, you are helping open doors and build opportunities for generations to come.

In recognition for their generosity and lasting investment, Cornerstone Society members receive exclusive invitations to events and activities, and receive special acknowledgment on AHC’s website and in our annual Impact Report. AHC respects the preferences of those donors who wish to remain anonymous.

For additional information or to learn how you can build a lasting legacy with AHC, please email Annie Sweeney or call 703-486-0626 ext 1117.

Legacy gifts can take different forms; and depending on the type of gift, may offer several tax benefits. The most popular forms of legacy gifts include:

  • A beneficiary designation as part of your retirement plan or life insurance policy.

  • An IRA charitable rollover (for individuals 70½+).

  • Appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds.

  • A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF).

Legacy gifts can take different forms and, depending on the type, may offer several tax benefits. We encourage you to consult your tax advisor or financial professional for more details.
